This family is another that I have been lucky enough to capture their milestones, special moments, and now their newest addition to the family – a baby girl! Mom and Dad didn’t want to find out the gender of the baby ahead of time, so when she arrived they were surprised and excited to welcome another daughter. Her big sister is very proud as well! I loved seeing the two sisters together. It reminded me of seeing photos of my sister and myself when we were little. Actually, this sweet baby girl was born on my sister’s birthday!
I enjoyed every moment of this session. I hope you love it too!

The first time I met this lovely little lady, she was only two months old! Even though the past year was full of changes and growing, one thing remains the same – she is just beautiful! For her one year portraits, we started off at Hartwood Acres Mansion and finished with a smash cake at home with big sister and Grandma.
Enjoy this brand new one year old baby girl! π

I have been anxiously awaiting this baby’s arrival since this summer when his mom and I first spoke about photographing his first year. In September, I met this baby boy’s mom and dad for maternity portraits. I could just tell how loved this little baby was before he was even born. His mom and dad are absolutely thrilled to be parents. Photographing the first year of this baby’s life is going to be wonderful!
Meet their precious baby boy.

These three kiddos were great to photograph! They are cousins and but more importantly friends. The two older children are brother and sister. The younger little guy is their cousin. It was fun to watch these three in action. That morning, there was a lot of giggling and smiling. Take a look, the photos speak for themselves.

Last week, I met this little lady and her mom at their house for a Christmas-themed mini session. It was a bit cold and rainy that afternoon so with only a few moments for outdoor portraits, we headed inside where her dogs joined in on the fun. Somehow (with Goldfish Crackers), we managed to get the three to sit still just long enough to snap a photo!
Enjoy! π

I have had such a great time seeing so many families that I haven’t seen for either months or even a year! It is really exciting to watch each family change and grow. I am truly honored when a family returns for more portraits.
Last year, I met this family for the first time to take some holiday photos. I am sure you have seen their family portrait around on my Facebook page or on here for my mini session advertisements. Their love for one another and their happiness definitely shows! One of the many reasons for their happiness is that they are expecting a baby this spring! I am thrilled for them. The next time I see them, they will be a family of four. Until then . . .

This little guy just turned two! His birthday was on Thanksgiving this year. Right now, he is all about trains – specifically Thomas! For his session, we headed to the railroad. Although we didn’t see any trains, he did not seem at all disappointed. A little bribery (Goldfish crackers) and his favorite toy (Thomas) made him forget that he was even being photographed. Wait until you see the last photo of him climbing and reaching for a Goldfish cracker on top of a concrete slab.
Check out this brand new two year old π

A few weeks ago, I met with little Miss Ella and her mom! The last time I saw Ella was early spring of this year. It is amazing how much she has grown over the last several months! She went from a baby to a little girl so quickly! When her mom told her that I was taking her pictures, she said she wanted to make a drawing for me. It has to be the most adorable “client” gift I have ever received. She was so excited about having her pictures taken that she went home and said to her dad when she walked in the door “Dad, pictures with Emily!!” I can’t wait to see Ella, her mom and dad again soon when they welcome their new baby!
Don’t you love this?? π

Meet the artist!

It is that special time of year once again. A time when family and friends are near, laughter fills the air and love fills our hearts. The holidays are always a wonderful reminder of what is truly important in life. If you have the privilege to spend today eating a beautiful meal with those people who mean the most, count your blessings. We often forget just how fortunate we are to have the chance to give thanks for all that we have today and every day.
Not only am I thankful for being able to live in this country with all of these great modern day conveniences, I am thankful for many things. Today and all other days of the year, I am thankful for my family and husband-to-be, Scott. Without their love and support, I would not be where I am in my life.

I am also thankful for my dog and little buddy, Speck. He is fun, loving and full of life!

Although I am not thankful for having type 1 diabetes, I am thankful for the available treatment that keeps me alive every single day! My insulin pump is my lifesaver.

Finally, I am thankful for being able to do what I love and love what I do! My biggest thanks goes out to all of YOU who make this dream a reality. Thank you!! As part of my appreciation, I would like to offer a giveaway to celebrate the holiday and to celebrate reaching over 500 fans on my Facebook page!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
I am off to spend time with my family and eat delicious food like this yummy apple pie homemade by my sister, Natalie! She makes everything from scratch and is taking orders for Christmas π

I met this family for the first time one year ago. It is amazing how much changes in such a short period of time! Since we last met, they have had a baby and moved to a new home! Needless to say, it has been an exciting and whirlwind year for them. We met for a mini session recently at a local park. I was very excited to meet their newest addition to the family! This adorable baby boy was unbelievably calm and alert (just wait until you see his full head of hair and big blue eyes)! His big brother absolutely adores him and their mom and dad could not be happier.
Enjoy! π
