This family is another that I have been lucky enough to capture their milestones, special moments, and now their newest addition to the family – a baby girl! Mom and Dad didn’t want to find out the gender of the baby ahead of time, so when she arrived they were surprised and excited to welcome another daughter. Her big sister is very proud as well! I loved seeing the two sisters together. It reminded me of seeing photos of my sister and myself when we were little. Actually, this sweet baby girl was born on my sister’s birthday!
I enjoyed every moment of this session. I hope you love it too!
The first time I met this lovely little lady, she was only two months old! Even though the past year was full of changes and growing, one thing remains the same – she is just beautiful! For her one year portraits, we started off at Hartwood Acres Mansion and finished with a smash cake at home with big sister and Grandma.
Enjoy this brand new one year old baby girl! 🙂
Brooke + Gwynn | Pittsburgh Engagement Portrait Photographer – Engagement Photo Session | Emily Hixon Photography
Not too long ago, I received an email from a high school classmate of mine. Brooke and I played softball together when we were little girls as well. Time goes by so quickly! When Brooke told me that she was engaged and looking for a wedding photographer, I was honored that she thought of me. After meeting with her and her fiancé, Gwynn, I was excited to be a part of their wedding day.
These two really love each other. For their engagement session, they brought along the other love of their lives: Scout. Scout is a rescue dog. Gwynn and Brooke rescued her a few years back. Now, they cannot imagine life without her. With the help of Brooke’s mom, we got some really great shots of these three. What a fun engagement session!
I cannot wait to photograph their September 2013 wedding! Enjoy.
I have been anxiously awaiting this baby’s arrival since this summer when his mom and I first spoke about photographing his first year. In September, I met this baby boy’s mom and dad for maternity portraits. I could just tell how loved this little baby was before he was even born. His mom and dad are absolutely thrilled to be parents. Photographing the first year of this baby’s life is going to be wonderful!
Meet their precious baby boy.
Megan + Shawn | Pittsburgh Engagement Portrait Photographer – Engagement Photo Session | Emily Hixon Photography
Megan and Shawn are one of the couples whose wedding I will be photographing in 2013! As soon as I met them, I knew they were going to be fun to get to know throughout the upcoming year. They seemed more like friends than anything to me almost immediately. Their engagement session was great! We were extremely lucky. You never know what to expect in December. The day of their session came and the forecast was calling for rain. Thankfully, the sun was shining until just moments after the session ended and the rain began to fall! It was nearly 60 degrees for their “winter” engagement portraits.
I am super excited to be a part of this couple’s special day in July. Until then, enjoy these lovely engagement portraits! 🙂
These three kiddos were great to photograph! They are cousins and but more importantly friends. The two older children are brother and sister. The younger little guy is their cousin. It was fun to watch these three in action. That morning, there was a lot of giggling and smiling. Take a look, the photos speak for themselves.
Little Miss Christmas | Pittsburgh Child Portrait Photographer – Child Photo Session | Emily Hixon Photography
Last week, I met this little lady and her mom at their house for a Christmas-themed mini session. It was a bit cold and rainy that afternoon so with only a few moments for outdoor portraits, we headed inside where her dogs joined in on the fun. Somehow (with Goldfish Crackers), we managed to get the three to sit still just long enough to snap a photo!
Love Multiplies | Pittsburgh Family and Child Portrait Photographer – Family Photo Session | Emily Hixon Photography
I have had such a great time seeing so many families that I haven’t seen for either months or even a year! It is really exciting to watch each family change and grow. I am truly honored when a family returns for more portraits.
Last year, I met this family for the first time to take some holiday photos. I am sure you have seen their family portrait around on my Facebook page or on here for my mini session advertisements. Their love for one another and their happiness definitely shows! One of the many reasons for their happiness is that they are expecting a baby this spring! I am thrilled for them. The next time I see them, they will be a family of four. Until then . . .
Working on the Railroad | Pittsburgh Child Portrait Photographer – Child Photo Session | Emily Hixon Photography
This little guy just turned two! His birthday was on Thanksgiving this year. Right now, he is all about trains – specifically Thomas! For his session, we headed to the railroad. Although we didn’t see any trains, he did not seem at all disappointed. A little bribery (Goldfish crackers) and his favorite toy (Thomas) made him forget that he was even being photographed. Wait until you see the last photo of him climbing and reaching for a Goldfish cracker on top of a concrete slab.
Check out this brand new two year old 🙂
Pictures with Emily | Pittsburgh Child Portrait Photographer – Child Photo Session | Emily Hixon Photography
A few weeks ago, I met with little Miss Ella and her mom! The last time I saw Ella was early spring of this year. It is amazing how much she has grown over the last several months! She went from a baby to a little girl so quickly! When her mom told her that I was taking her pictures, she said she wanted to make a drawing for me. It has to be the most adorable “client” gift I have ever received. She was so excited about having her pictures taken that she went home and said to her dad when she walked in the door “Dad, pictures with Emily!!” I can’t wait to see Ella, her mom and dad again soon when they welcome their new baby!
Don’t you love this?? 🙂
Meet the artist!
