These three kiddos were great to photograph! They are cousins and but more importantly friends. The two older children are brother and sister. The younger little guy is their cousin. It was fun to watch these three in action. That morning, there was a lot of giggling and smiling. Take a look, the photos speak for themselves.

Last week, I met this little lady and her mom at their house for a Christmas-themed mini session. It was a bit cold and rainy that afternoon so with only a few moments for outdoor portraits, we headed inside where her dogs joined in on the fun. Somehow (with Goldfish Crackers), we managed to get the three to sit still just long enough to snap a photo!
Enjoy! 🙂

I have had such a great time seeing so many families that I haven’t seen for either months or even a year! It is really exciting to watch each family change and grow. I am truly honored when a family returns for more portraits.
Last year, I met this family for the first time to take some holiday photos. I am sure you have seen their family portrait around on my Facebook page or on here for my mini session advertisements. Their love for one another and their happiness definitely shows! One of the many reasons for their happiness is that they are expecting a baby this spring! I am thrilled for them. The next time I see them, they will be a family of four. Until then . . .

This little guy just turned two! His birthday was on Thanksgiving this year. Right now, he is all about trains – specifically Thomas! For his session, we headed to the railroad. Although we didn’t see any trains, he did not seem at all disappointed. A little bribery (Goldfish crackers) and his favorite toy (Thomas) made him forget that he was even being photographed. Wait until you see the last photo of him climbing and reaching for a Goldfish cracker on top of a concrete slab.
Check out this brand new two year old 🙂

A few weeks ago, I met with little Miss Ella and her mom! The last time I saw Ella was early spring of this year. It is amazing how much she has grown over the last several months! She went from a baby to a little girl so quickly! When her mom told her that I was taking her pictures, she said she wanted to make a drawing for me. It has to be the most adorable “client” gift I have ever received. She was so excited about having her pictures taken that she went home and said to her dad when she walked in the door “Dad, pictures with Emily!!” I can’t wait to see Ella, her mom and dad again soon when they welcome their new baby!
Don’t you love this?? 🙂

Meet the artist!

I met this family for the first time one year ago. It is amazing how much changes in such a short period of time! Since we last met, they have had a baby and moved to a new home! Needless to say, it has been an exciting and whirlwind year for them. We met for a mini session recently at a local park. I was very excited to meet their newest addition to the family! This adorable baby boy was unbelievably calm and alert (just wait until you see his full head of hair and big blue eyes)! His big brother absolutely adores him and their mom and dad could not be happier.
Enjoy! 🙂

I just adore this family. They are equally as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside! You may remember them from some of my previous posts. I was excited to see them again for a fun fall mini session on yet another comfortable fall day. It was hard to believe how much their little guy has grown over the past year! He already seems like such a little guy who is full of life and energy! Every time we wanted a smile from him, we faked a sneeze (achoo!). Can’t wait to see this family again in the spring!
Enjoy! 🙂

Have you ever really wanted to do something but found that no matter how much you try something keeps you from getting there? That’s exactly what happened with this session. After rescheduling three times, we finally made this session happen! The stars aligned and everything went smoothly! Not only are these two sisters just gorgeous, they are so much fun. With the help of their awesome mom, we had a fantastic session! Enough from me, the photos speak for themselves!
Enjoy! 🙂

My job has to be one of the best in the entire world. I am truly blessed to be able to meet and photograph so many beautiful, kind and loving people! It never gets old. This family session was fun and full of energy. These two kiddos kept mom, dad and myself on the go! The golden setting sun and the colorful leaves on the trees were to die for on that cozy fall evening. One word for these portraits – love.
Enjoy! 🙂

Only six months ago, I met this beautiful and loving family. During the last six months, I have come to know and enjoy spending time with them. Have you ever felt like a person or a group of people were brought into your life for a reason? I feel that way about this family. It has been a complete joy to watch and capture the baby and her big sister as they grew. Amazing what a difference just six months can make!
I am sad to say that as quickly as this family came into my life, they are already leaving! They are headed back to their home state soon. Even though I hate to see them leave, I am happy that they are making their way back home. This final session was on the baby girl’s first birthday! She looked completely adorable in her dress and tutu. Of course, what one year old session would be complete without a smash cake? Wait until you see how cute her smash cake looked!
Enjoy this lovely family and the birthday girl.
