This time of year is always one of my favorites. While I wouldn’t be the first to admit it, by the end of October I am secretly and anxiously awaiting listening to Christmas music, decorating, and shopping for family and friends! I enjoy all that the holiday season has to offer. To me, there is something so comforting about seeing warm and bright Christmas lights on a chilly night and drinking a hot cup of tea by the fire.
One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is head to Oglebay Resort in West Virgina to see the Christmas light display with Scott. It has become somewhat of a holiday tradition for us. When I was younger, I went every year with my family. Now, Scott and I enjoy going together. Last year, Scott proposed to me at Oglebay just two weeks before Christmas. It was nice going back a year later to celebrate not only the holidays but our engagement. While we were visiting, I snapped a few photos of the beautiful display where Scott asked me to marry him and of the truffle he bought me because my blood sugar was low. 😉 The light was golden and gorgeous that evening.
I had such a great session this morning with this gorgeous senior girl. More to come, but for now just one. http://ow.ly/i/Ql6z
After returning from a week at the beach, I was greeted by this perfect new little guy. He was calm and definitely cooperative. This cutie is going to be a heart-breaker. I absolutely love the way his hair just naturally forms into a mohawk! His mom and dad are completely in love with him and I can see why 🙂
With all of the strange weather we’ve been experiencing this spring in Pittsburgh, I was not sure if this session was going to be in the snow, rain, or sun! Thankfully, it was sunny and spring-like day for this fun senior portrait session. You may recognize this familiar face from a previous post a few months back. I could not have been happier to work with and photograph such a beautiful and fun girl not only once but twice!
We spent most of Friday evening grabbing some great photos in one of my favorite places to take portraits in Pittsburgh. Marina really knows how to work the camera! Not to mention, she is more than willing to go along with my crazy ideas – including sitting on a small and uncomfortable rock surrounded by plants for a considerable amount of time! (Thanks, Marina and sorry about that ;-))
Enjoy another round of beauty!
It is always so much fun to meet and photograph new families. Last week, I met these two little guys. They were so full of life, playful and sweet. I enjoyed seeing the boys personalities shine both individually and together. Big brother was great at making his little brother laugh and smile. Little brother was pleasant and loved being the center of attention.
Could these two be any cuter? 🙂
