Spring is here, the trees and flowers are blooming, the grass is green, and the sun is shining! We could not have asked for a more gorgeous morning for a mini session last week. It was nearly 80 degrees and sunny.
Just a short time ago, I held a mini session giveaway contest on my Facebook page and blog. The winner was a familiar face! I saw this precious baby girl and her mom in November for some holiday portraits. Although it doesn’t seem that long ago, I could certainly tell that little Ella has been busy growing over the last few months!
She was dressed in her spring colored shirt and hair bow with the cutest little pink threaded jeans which were finished off with the a brand new pair of spring sandals! I absolutely loved her sandals, but she did not care for her sandals much. Her poor little toes kept getting wet from the dewy grass and collecting dirt from the ground. Once she was cleaned up, she was good to go!
Enjoy this sweet spring baby 🙂
Last week, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend a photography conference called “theFIX” in D.C. The host of the conference was an amazing international wedding photographer, Jasmine Star. On Thursday morning Scott, Susan (of Exposure Photography) and I left for D.C. After hitting a bit of traffic, we made arrived mid-afternoon. Susan and I were really excited and curious to see what “theFIX” was all about and to meet other photographers. We talked about it for almost the entire trip there. I should mention that there really was no description as to what exactly this event was all about.
That being said, you might think that all 250 attendees of the event are insane! True. All we knew was that we were there to “fix” our businesses and problems with the guidance of Jasmine. There was no description because the event was mainly driven by the audience. For Jasmine, no two events are exactly the same on “theFIX” tour she is currently hosting.
It was a truly inspiring and eye opening evening. I got the motivation I needed to take my business/photography obsession to the next level. Needless to say, you will be seeing some small but fantastic changes around here soon. I cannot wait to show you all what I am working on and the new direction I will be taking.
Now for the fun part – photos from the trip!
Just a short while ago, I was photographing this little cutie’s sweet baby sister. When I was last visiting and photographing at this family’s home, this little girl was getting sooo excited for her third birthday! She knew that she was getting a special tutu and a custom shirt to wear as her birthday outfit and could hardly wait for it to arrive!
This brand new three year old sweetie was excited to get some photos all by herself but also some with mom, dad and baby sister. She did such a great job holding her all by herself too! She laughed, kissed her baby sister on the head and even pretended to sneeze to make everyone giggle. I had such a fun time with the birthday girl and her family!
